Grandview Middle School

In order to allow students and staff to attend services honoring Ms. Jackie Sewald, classes will not be in session on Thursday, October 26. We will have a bus run to Jefferson college from the high school. December 22, 2023, and May 10, 2024, will change from noon release days to full days of attendance.

The school calendar approved in March erroneously marked March 25, 2024, with an X, indicating it would be a day when school would not be in session. Hours for that day were included in the total amount turned in to DESE for the school year. The loss of those hours would cause us to go below the minimum required by DESE guidelines. Therefore, during last night's meeting, the Grandview R-II School Board approved a measure to amend the 2023-2024 school year. Monday, March 25, 2024, will now be a day of school attendance. CTA will be hosting "Grandview's Trail of Terror" on October 20th on the trail behind the elementary building. We are in immediate need of volunteers to help create scenes or work as spooky characters the night of the event. This event will be held next Friday, October 20th so we are short on time! If you are interested in helping as an actor with a scary scene or character or if you are able to let us borrow any Halloween decor for our event please fill out this form and a CTA member will be back with you ASAP! Some have been asking about Grandview R2 Middle School Fall Pictures................fall pictures will be taken at the middle school on Thursday, October 19th. (Flyers will be sent home closer to the date.) Retakes will be December 7th.

Attention Grandview R2 Middle School Football players and families............there will be NO middle school football practice tomorrow (Friday, Sept 1st). Also, there will be a parent meeting after practice at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, Sept 5th.

Three more sleeps till the new school year.

Excitement is in the air. Only five days until the start of the 2023-2024 school year.

If you have already purchased a yearbook from last year they are available for pickup at Open House tonight from 5:30-7:30pm. Last Year's 8th graders will pick up at the high school, and last years 4th graders will pick up at the middle school.

Tomorrow.........you're only a day away! Open House is tomorrow. Join us, Thursday, August 17th, for Open House from 5:30pm-7:30pm.

Join us this Thursday, August 10th, from 8:00am-2:00pm (closed 11-12:00 for lunch).

Join us this Thursday, August 10th, here at the middle school from 8:00am til 2:00pm. We will close from 11:00-12:00 for lunch. We will have many things available to the parents and students. We will have all enrollment forms, student schedules, free & reduced lunch forms, updated health record paperwork, computer access forms, as well as many other items to get completed prior to open house and the start of the school year.
