Tomorrow.........you're only a day away! Open
House is tomorrow. Join us, Thursday, August 17th, for Open House from 5:30pm-7:30pm.

We had a great day at the Grandview R2 School District! We welcomed many new faces to our Grandview R2 family! Our new staff came in for the first day of training, and we are proud to have them. Tomorrow I will have some pictures of their smiling faces! Thank you goes out to Mrs. Lori Howerton, Mrs. Emily Hilligoss, Mrs. Rebecca McAnally, and Mr. Don Jeffries for leading the trainings today. They did a great job, and we appreciate their hard work and dedication to continuously improve our school district. #EagleNation

After an investigation, it was found that there was not an actual fire and the students and staff were in no imminent danger. The alert system was triggered from a fault in the alarm system. The fault in the alarm system is being addressed so this event is not repeated.

4-Day Week Update:
Senate Bill 4 was approved out of committee WITHOUT the amendment related to the 4-day school week. I have also been told that we should not consider this a permanent “win” for the 4-day week as a local control option. I’ve heard that this same amendment (that includes the 4-day week) could very well appear again on later bills----so, please do not let this change your efforts to advocate for your position on the 4-day week, whatever it may be. Of course, new amendments could pop up or be added to future bills.
Thank you everyone for your efforts, I will try to keep you updated,
Matt Zoph
