Unfortunately we have to inform all of the loss of another long term former member of Eagle Nation. Dr. H. Michael Brown, former Superintendent of Schools, has passed away. His "country charm", dedication to Grandview and his love of education helped many students and staff members over his time here. K-5 Grandview R-2 2025 Summer School Information for Families We are excited to welcome your child to Summer School starting Thursday, May 29, 2025! Below are important details to ensure a smooth and successful summer experience. 🕖 Arrival & Dismissal Procedures Drop-Off (7:50–8:00 AM) Bus Riders: Dropped off at the front entrance of the school. Parent Drop-Off: Takes place at the gym doors (please stay in the car line). 🚫 Important Reminders No student drop-offs at the front doors while buses are arriving or leaving. If arriving after 8:05 AM, parents must park and sign students into the office. Breakfast will be delivered to classrooms—students do not need to go to the cafeteria for breakfast. Dismissal (2:05 PM) Bus Riders: Will board buses at the front entrance. Parent Pick-Up: All parent pickups must be made through the gym parent pickup line. 🚫 No in-office pickups after 1:40 PM due to limited office staffing. 🍽️ Meals All breakfasts and lunches are FREE to all Summer School students. Breakfast will be delivered to classrooms each morning. 🧑‍⚕️ Staffing During Summer School Please note that we have: A part-time nurse Part-time office staff ➡️ We appreciate your patience and flexibility as we work to support all students safely and efficiently. 🚍 Bus Route Information 🗂 2025 Summer School Bus Routes – Attached Note: Bus pickup and drop-off times are approximate and may vary slightly during the first few days. ✅ Bus Rider Expectations To ensure safety and a positive experience for all, students are expected to follow these bus rules: Go to your assigned seat and stay seated until the bus comes to a complete stop. Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself. Be courteous — no fighting, pushing, or inappropriate language. No eating or drinking, except for water. Keep books, bags, and instruments out of the aisle. Respect the driver and fellow students at all times. If you have any questions before the first day, feel free to contact the elementary office. We look forward to a safe, fun, and successful Summer School!

2025 Summer School Bus Schedule

Campus Update – Resurfacing Work Begins Today (May 22, 2025)! Starting today, resurfacing of campus driving and parking areas is underway and will continue for about a month. This is part of the Project Safe Eagles improvements funded by the April 2023 bond issue. Please note: This work may impact multiple summer activities, including—but not limited to—youth baseball/softball, Grandview summer camps, and district sports workouts. 🌟 Elementary News & Notes 🌟 Spring is in the air, and so is the excitement at Grandview Elementary! Our students are hard at work as we head into the final stretch of the school year. From hands-on learning in the classroom to fun outdoor activities, there’s never a dull moment! Be sure to check backpacks for important updates, upcoming event info, and end-of-year reminders. Thank you for your continued support in helping our Eagles learn, grow, and soar! 🦅✨

🎉 Impromptu Pajama Day Friday 🎉 Our 2nd Grade students are working on persuasive writing. One of the students has asked to have Pajama days each week. We will not be having them each week, however, we will have one Friday, April 4th and Wednesday, April 16th.

Mark your calendars, Spring Picture Day is April 3rd.

Please join us for our 1st Annual Elementary Art Show on March 17th. See flyer attached.

Sending out a quick reminder that kindergarten registration is this Friday, call the elementary office for a time if you haven't already done so. Also, there will be no preschool Thursday, March 6, or Friday March 7. Plus, the high school play will be Thursday (3/6), Friday (3/7), and Saturday (3/8) at 7:00 PM in the middle school gym.

We are excited to announce that school will be back in session tomorrow, Friday, February 21! Thanks to the tireless efforts of road crews and our dedicated custodial and maintenance staff, our campus is ready to welcome students back. Please ensure your child dresses appropriately for the weather at the bus stop. We look forward to seeing everyone back at school!

In order to ensure the safety of our students and staff, particularly those waiting at bus stops, we will have another inclement weather day tomorrow, Thursday, February 20. Thank you for your understanding. Please stay safe and warm. We will provide any further updates as needed.

Eagle Nation, Snow Day Makeup: School will be in session on Monday, February 24, to make up for the snow day on Tuesday, February 18. We wanted to get this out as soon as possible so schedules can be modified. The make-up day for today's snow day will be communicated out as soon as it is determined. Questions about School Tomorrow: To prioritize the safety of students, parents, and staff, administration is closely monitoring district road conditions, as well as campus lots and walkways, to determine whether school will be in session tomorrow. Basketball Update: Tonight’s basketball games have been canceled, and no makeup dates have been scheduled at this time. Stay safe and warm, and we will update you as soon as possible regarding tomorrow’s school schedule.
