Exciting News Graphic

Grandview has received some wonderful news. We have been approved by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to be a recipient of a School Safety Grant. Grandview will receive $200,000 to upgrade existing safety measures and to be able to implement new guidelines. This is the same grant that the district applied for last year but did not receive.

Some of the considered upgrades to our safety procedures and facilities include:

  1. The entrances to the school buildings will be improved to better regulate how individuals will enter the facilities.
  2.  A safety ballistic film will be installed on ground-level windows.
  3. Kindergarten and preschool doors will be upgraded to a more safety-conscious design.
  4. The radio system for the district will be upgraded.
  5. Upgrading of signage both in and out of the buildings
  6. The rekeying of locks for building entryways.

We are excited about the reception of these grant monies. They will help us continue to provide, what we believe is the most important aspect of being a Grandview Eagle, the safest environment possible for our students and staff.
